L.A. seems to have missed the memo that summer is over autumn has begun, as the temperatures for the past week have been in the upper 70’s & 80’s and don’t appear to be dropping anytime soon. Despite this lack of seasonal change, however, I’m feeling determined to transition into my fall wardrobe and enjoy my favorite time of year for fashion!
This midi dress was a recent purchase, and I am absolutely in LOVE with everything about it. The dusty rose color was what really sold me on the piece, as the color has been hugely popular this season, and is a perfect transition color from summer to winter. It pairs so nicely with nearly everything, including the deep berry tones and olive greens that are so coveted this time of year. It’s also the first midi dress I’ve ever owned, as the slights on the side and rounded hemline made it much more flattering than any other midi I’ve tried on. The quality of the material is amazing as well; it’s incredibly soft to touch and is oh-so-comfy to wear all day.
To keep the look simple (and to meet in the middle with the stubborn weather) I paired it with a pair of peep toe boots and an oversized camel faux-leather tote. Since I couldn’t add on any warm layers, I choose to layer up with accessories instead, opting for mixed metals and marbled whites to offset the shades of tan. I will definitely be wearing this dress on repeat the next few weeks, as there are so many ways you can play it up and change around the look!
