Fall is one of the best times of the year, not only for the obvious reasons, but also because the beauty and fashion worlds are undeniably at their peak during this richly-toned season. It’s a season of dark neutrals and berry tones and ravishing reds: a color palette that’s just irresistible to play around with.
So as the weather continues to cool down in L.A., I’ve been switching out my summer makeup for more autumnal products, including the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette.
I bought this palette earlier in the year thanks to a killer sale at Ulta where it was half off- a deal I simply couldn’t pass up on! I used it sparingly throughout summer, but I’ve been reaching for it lots more through the transition into fall. The Naked Smoky palette offers the perfect combination of deep neutrals to create a killer autumn eye look. Usually I’m a bit hesitant about going for a smoky eye throughout the year (especially because I have definitely had a few unfortunate mishaps in the past), but for some reason it feels safer to go for a darker eye look during the colder months.
I especially love the purpley-gray tones (Smolder & Password) and the rich matte sienna brown (Whiskey) because they’re rather unique compared to other eyeshadow palettes and make the perfect shades for fall! And the lighter shades in the palette are perfect for making that later transition from autumn into winter.
Of course it goes without saying that the quality of any Urban Decay eyeshadow is going to be amazing, and this palette is no exception. Plus the packaging of it is probably my favorite out of all four palettes- it’s easily the most sleek and compact!
If you’re looking for a new eyeshadow palette to invest in, this would be a stunning addition for the season!
