I’d only been in school about a month when spring break hit (the Queensland school schedule is awesome), which meant that the warm Australian summer weather was still lingering, gracing us with perfect weather all week. I had the tremendous pleasure of spending my break on Heron Island off the Great Barrier Reef as part of a field trip for my marine environment class. It was a week full of taking adventurous snorkels, discovering new creatures, and eating enormous amounts of delicious catered food. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had so far!
In our downtime when we weren’t researching or snorkeling, we were free to roam about the small island and enjoy the white sandy beaches. So I opted for outfits that would be casually cute and not feel too warm when I was out in the hot island sun all day, and this romper in particular did amazing at serving that purpose.
Rompers in general are perfect to take on vacation in my opinion because 1) it’s a whole outfit in itself so it leaves you with much more packing space and 2) it requires no thought about matching or coordination, you just slip it on and go. And I felt this romper with its bright and playful tropical print was perfect to bring on an island spring break trip. I matched it with my favorite sandals and sunglasses and in less than five minutes I was ready for the day. Plus, for all you tall girls out there like me who struggle to find rompers that fit, since this one ties around the neck it’s easily adjustable to fit all shapes and sizes!
