If there’s one thing that you should always take good care of, it’s your skin. Here in Brisbane I’ve had to be especially careful with mine, ensuring that I’m always reapplying sun screen and using makeup that has an SPF in it so that I save myself from the pain of a bad sunburn. But with all the products going on my face during the day I want to make sure that all the dirt, sweat, and bacteria is getting washed cleanly out of my system so that I don’t breakout, and that’s where this mask comes in.
I purchased the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask at Sephora a few weeks before studying abroad because I was feeling adventurous in wanting to add some new products into my skincare routine and this one had received great reviews from nearly everyone. It’s infused with grape marc, pink clay, coffee, and papaya extract, which all work to detoxify and invigorate clogged, dull skin. My first impression upon using it was that it smelled strikingly like Calamine lotion (and looked a bit like it too, thanks to the pink clay). That’s certainly not my favorite scent, but it wasn’t too overbearing where I felt that it was a problem. But after using it for several weeks, whatever is in the mask is an excellent combination because it leaves my skin looking extra clean and feeling much softer too.
Usually when I want to detoxify my skin, I use the Origins clay mask, as it does a great job of unclogging my pores. But the Caudalie mask is giving it great competition because it not only clears my skin, but it leaves it feeling and looking much brighter and healthier. For someone like me, whose acne is only concentrated in certain areas, I feel like this mask is the perfect product because it targets the areas of my face differently based on its needs. So after using it, my oily zones feel clean and refreshed, but my dry, dull cheeks look revitalized and brighter! I couldn’t tell you how it does it, and maybe I’m the only one who has noticed these amazing, multi-tasking results, but I love the results I’m having and I’ll definitely continue to use it.
