This time of year is always a treat for regular Starbucks goers, as the company brings back everyone’s favorite seasonal drinks that we waited so (im)patiently for during the rest of the year. But as someone who doesn’t drink coffee (or tea), I’ve always found their arrivals to be less than exciting. While others get to enjoy lattes and mochas full of delicious seasonal spices and flavors, my options seemed limited to the same sparse choices that were available the rest of the year.
So this year I was determined to partake in the liquified holiday spirit and find ways to enjoy Starbucks’ seasonal offerings with no coffee added. And I think my discoveries will be pleasantly surprising for all non-coffee drinkers :).
So here are 9 Christmas-inspired hot and cold drinks non-coffee people should definitely give a try this holiday season!
- Salted caramel hot chocolate
- Peppermint double chocolatey chip (my personal favorite)
- Peppermint hot chocolate
- Chestnut praline frappuccino blended crème
- Eggnog frappuccino blended crème
- Pumpkin spice hot chocolate
- Cinnamon dolce double chocolatey chip
- Cinnamon dolce hot chocolate
- Caramel apple spice (think apple cider)
I’ve given several of these a try myself and have found them incredibly satisfying! And now I no longer have to feel left out of the holiday excitement surrounding the Starbucks drinks just because I don’t have have a taste for coffee. Just be sure on a few of these to note to the barista that you want the blended crème, not the blended coffee, and you’re good to go!
Hopefully for my fellow non-coffee drinkers this gave you a little inspiration on how to get creative with your Starbucks order this holiday. And if you coffee drinkers out there need a break from caffeine these are some great alternatives for you too!
